Geological and geomorphological applications of low-angle illumination satellite imagery in Northern Ireland

Auteur :
GIBSON, P.J.

Description :
Selected areas in northern Ireland, where there is over 95% vegetation cover, are examined in order to illustrate that the analysis of satellite imagery can be an important technique for the acquisition of geological and geomorphological information if the proper image is chosen. Apart from applying a histogram equalization contrast stretch, the images illustrated here have not been digitally processed.
