Paper gives a detailed analysis of the history, the geographical location and other quantitative characteristics (number of buildings, dwellings etc.) of housing estates in Hungary. Recent development of the housing estates are also analysed, and author come to the conclusion that due to the negative effect of out-migration housing estates at a serious risk of becoming ghettos in the housing market in the future. - (ZK)
