During the development of Báta, the following elements of the natural environment had a significant role in shaping the settlement : mining and utilisation of mineral resources, location of military bases, macrostructure of the economy, land use pattern, employment, transportation, the main transportation routes, dramatic historical events, ethnic composition of the population, effects of natural disasters, re-structuring of the ground pattern of the settlement and the state of the environment. - (ZK)
