Description :
An example of a geological profile with Quaternary-Tertiary sequences from the open cast lignite mine Schleenhain with typical genetic forms of cryogenic gravitative deformation structures of the anaglacial period of the Elsterian glaciation in Central Germany is described. It shows a repeated change of frost and permafrost degradation periods in periglacial sediments in front of the ice sheet. - (L'A.).
