Description :
The reduction of troops stationed in Germany by more than 50% was accompanied by the vacation of land that has been reserved for military purposes. Part of this land is situated inside municipal development areas, so that it provides urgently required housing, trade estates additions to the infrastructure, reorganization of trafffic development, etc.. The necessary re-utilization of this land is defined as conversion for urban construction and poses a totally new task in municipal planning, of which the A. outlines the most imoretant aspects. - (L'A.).
