Analysis of linear sand dune morphological variability, southwestern Kalahari Desert

Description :
In this paper, the AA. investigate the planimetric properties of the southwestern Kalahari linear dunefield. This study was carried out as part of a major project which is examining the surface processes, dynamics, morphological variability and palaeoenvironmental significance of the Kalahari dunes. This study also provides a detailed classification of the linear dunes, based on quantifiable variables, and examines spatial trends in morphological variations in the dunefield.
