Description :
The objectives of this study were to a) identify the relations between bed-step characteristics and potential controlling variables, and b) develop hypotheses of bed-step formation. Specifically, the AA. hypothesize that bed-step height and spacing reflect flow turbulence, which is in turn controlled by channel gradient.
