Description :
This paper aims to define the role of Geomorphology in the assessment of the impact of human activities on the environment. Environmental impact assessment (EIA) should be carried out for specific projects, in order to evaluate their suitability for the quality of the environment. The relationships between humans and environment are taken into account, with particular attention to the effects of a project on the geomorphological environment. Examples of different are presented.
