Description :
Drumlins are relatively unknown in the Alps, the few known examples are briefly described. These all happen to be of Holocene age. The first known Lateglacial drumlins are described from the Augsttälli. Following a description of the morphology and setting of these drumlins the conditions for drumlin formation at this locality as well as the implications for drumlin genesis in general are discussed.
