Late Cenozoic surficial deposits and valley evolution of unglaciated northern New Jersey

Auteur :
STANFORD, S. D.

Description :
This paper describes the surficial deposits and their associated erosional landforms, and the erosional and depositional events and drainage diversions they represent. The paper proposes that the landscape of the study area was shaped by both the long-term influence of sustained baselevel lowering in the Late Miocene and Late Pliocene and the short-term influence of glacial-interglacial climate cycles in the Middle and Late Pleistocene.
