Description :
This paper presents topographic and movement data from two persistently active earthflows in a single earthflow complex in the Mangatu Valley. Data were obtained from 18 series of infra-red distance measurements (EDM) and triangulation surveys of peg networks between January 1979 and November 1988. These long-term measurement data are then used to analyse the behaviour of the earthflows in response to disturbances such as sediment influx at the head of the earthflow (i.e., input discharges) by applying Iverson's theory.
