Seepage erosion was investigated in an amphitheatre with a semicircular valley head, steep slopes, and a flat bottom developed in granodiorite hills at Obara, Aichi prefecture, Japan. The sediment yield of seepage erosion from pipe oulets was measured, the slope processes were investigated, and the formation of amphitheatres was explored.
