Sand sea history of the Taklimakan for the past 30,000 years

Description :
Based on field work and laboratory analyses, a series of fluctuations in this desert environment during the past 30,000 years has been discovered. Six main evolutionary phases correlated with global climate changes are described in this paper. The results of the study also allow a prediction of the future environment in this large desert.
