Description :
In this paper, the partial duration series (PDS) technique will be used to analyze and model the probability of the timing, magnitude, and duration of the spring high water level events in the East Channel of the Mackenzie River at Inuvik. The main aim of this work is to achieve a better understanding of the role of hydrology in the Mackenzie Delta ecosystem, in order to predict the impact of environmmental change such as rising sea level, climate change, hydroelectric development, or contaminant deposition.
