Air flow over foredunes and implications for sand transport

In this paper more than 4000 hourly wind profiles measured on three different sites (Wadden islands, Mainland coast and Zeeland estuaries in the Netherlands) are analysed and discussed. Reference is made to both field and simulation studies (either using wind tunnel models or numerical computer models).
