Natural reforestation of abandoned farmland: the role of soils

The first aim of this study was to examine the physical homogeneity of abandoned farmland sites in the upper Cordeaux catchment by relating soil properties to the existing vegetation. The second aim was to explain the role of the soils, associated with other factors, in regeneration on particular sites.
