Photogeological study of Cenozoic landform evolution in the Cooktown area, north Queensland, Australia

The present study describes a number of significant photogeological observations in the Cooktown area, and attempts to link these into a morphotectonic model of Cenozoic landform evolution in the region. This model supports an earlier hypothesis of escarpment formation in the region as a result of « en echelon » double lines of uplift.
