Description :
The subject of this paper, derived from cooperative research carried out to date, in particular consists of a geochemical comparison between the 1883 Krakatau pumice flow and the so called « Shirasu » pumice flows prevailing over South Kyushu, Japan, and the genetical relationship between the Krakatau pumice flow and the granitic fragments found within it.
