Description :
The major aims of this contribution are to describe the state of vegetation and flora in the period 1989 to 1991 and to re-assess the development of both over the last ten years in comparison with data from earlier surveys. In addition, the paper addresses the importance of dispersal mechanisms, the influence of the other islands of the group, and the role of environmental controls and constraints in the developmental process.
