Building in Israel throughout the Ages -one cause for the destruction of the cedar forest of the Near East

The aim of this paper is to present the use of cedar wood in the buildings in one particular area-Israel, throughout the ages, which can represent general cause for the deforestation of the cedar forests of the Levant. The contribution of this paper is the use of wood remains gathered from archaeological sites and historical buildings as the data base for the research rather than historical written documents.
