Modelling of longterm surface moisture and monitoring vegetation response by satellite in semi-arid Botswana

Description :
A simple, physically based daily soil moisture model has been applied to climate and soil moisture data collected in a mixed savanna and agricultural region in Bostwana. The objectives were to test the performance and accuracy of the model over a several years period. The response of satellite estimates of vegetation biomass to changes in soil moisture is also discussed.
