Classification of rock weathering at Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, Alberta, Canada : a study in applied geomorphology

Description :
The technique devised for this archaeological study relied on a simple, qualitative, visual classification of weathering, and a photo interpretation mapping system of large sample areas. Schmidt hammer tests were used to verify the accuracy of the visual assessment and to provide a quantitative basis for the weathering classification.
