Simulated aeolian abrasion of pannonian sands and its implications for the origins of Hungarian loess

Description :
This short study aims to examine experimentally the possibility that Pannonian sands can be reduced during aeolian transport to silt-sized material which resembles that found in loess and loess-like deposits. Results demonstrate the feasibility of a local, abrasion derived contribution to Hungarian loess.
