The expansion methodology is applied to investigating the spatial spread of the AIDS epidemic in Ohio. To this effect, the spread of the epidemic is conceptualized as the parametric drift of mathematical relationships capable of representing the temporal dynamics of the cumulative count of AIDS cases.
