Description :
The AA. estimate temporally averaged SDRs within 7 neighbouring tributary catchments in the headwaters of the Waipoa River, North Island, New Zealand. Channels are generally degrading in these catchments, and gully erosion is by far the dominant sediment source, with minor inputs from other erosion processes such as landsliding and earthflows. Results allow comparison of past and present SDRs, as well as permitting derivation of an equation that predicts sediment delivery ratios for this land type on the basis of catchment area, channel bed slope and gully area.
