Soil-landscape evolution on a Mediterranean high mountain

Description :
The aim of this study was to reconstruct, in the southernmost glaciated area of Europe, soil development during the past pedogenic episodes, by comparing unburied soils in a post-incisive chronosequence formed on glacial deposits of various ages and on pre-glacial surfaces, all of similar lithology. Twelve soils were studied in 4 sectors of the Sierra Nevada : Laguna Seca, Lanjarón Valley, Mulhacén Valley, and Corral del Veleta.
