Special issue. Reconstruction and climatic implications of paleosols

Auteurs :

Description :
This paper describes deep red soils in the southern Fezzan (Tadrart Acacus Massif, Libya, Central Sahara), which do not seem to be in equilibrium with the present-day climatic conditions. The AA. describe characteristics which clarify their genesis, and discusses their palaeoclimatic significance in relation to Late Tertiary and Quaternary palaeoenvironmental changes in North Africa.
