Special issue. Reconstruction and climatic implications of paleosols
Auteur :PUSTOVOYTOV, K.
Description :
This paper reports radiocarbon ages for the whole cutan thickness and for its oldest layer separately. The main difficulty encountered was the small amount of cutan material available. It was enough for 2 radiocarbon dates only, which is of course insufficient to provide the desired reliability for paleo-landscape reconstructions. Nevertheless, the combination of absolute dating, cutan morphology and composition has shed light on the Holocene evolution of tundra-steppes in North-Eastern Asia.
