Description :
The origin of extensive sand terrains which lie inland from the coastal margin of Western Australia is contentious. This work is a detailed study of quarz grain microtextures from the Victoria Plateau sandplain intended to show whether the sand grains were derived from in situ weathering or were deposited by the wind.
