Description :
The main aims of this paper are : 1) to demonstrate what kinds of alluvial stripping have occurred in the coastal valleys of Southeast Australia; 2) to show how these can be related to post-deforestation periods, and in particular to illustrate that they are related to flood dominated regimes, both in the present and past; 3) to define the conditions required for these forms to be produced.
