This study represents an ecological investigation of marginal mangroves occurring at the transitional zone where oceanic influences and fresh water inputs from upland streams are equally felt. The objectives are: to identify the physiographic habitats associated with mangrove growth using environmental variables as indicators; and to compare the composition and abundance of species among the physiographic habitats.
