Description :
This review aims to demonstrate how the geographer's contribution to HIV/AIDS control might be broadened. The AA. evaluate the various interventions against HIV using some of the other constructions of infection risk that have emerged from studies of the diffusion of HIV and AIDS. They describe the main interventions and examine the debates about their appropriateness as elements of a socially mediated health policy. Some demographic features of the transmission are considered and the implications for preventive action of temporal variations in the risk of infection.
