Acid sulphate soil-landscape relationships in an undrained, tide-dominated estuarine floodplain, Eastern Australia

This paper deals with the case of a tide-dominated estuarine system. The study site is an undrained floodplain with limited human disturbance. This will also provide an opportunity for the examination of pure natural controls on the genesis of acid sulphate soils, which may differ from those developed in intensively cultivated areas where the pyrite-derived soil acidification is mainly attributed to land reclamation.
