Description :
The AA. present some results which were obtained not only from dilatometrical measurements but also from evaluating the importance of the migration of unfrozen water by slicing and weighing frozen samples. Furthermore, they would like to stress once again the influence on dilatometrical behaviour of three principal factors which are considered by the majority of AA. as influencing frost shattering: the lithological characteristics of the rock, its saturation coefficent and the cooling rate.
