Description :
Log-jams perform an important role in the dynamics of channels and the mobility of particles. Thus, the AA. have conducted experiments in a forest ditch, using marked pebbles, with the object of determining the size of the material set in motion, the level of discharge at which movement occurrs, as well the frequency of transport. These experiments were also intended to refine the critical shear stress values for the pebble bed-load.
