Migration and unemployment duration among young adults

Standard job search predictors (labor force experience, personal characteristics and economic conditions) are included as control variables alongside measures of migration in a Weibull hazard model. Young adults who migrated while unemployed had longer durations of unemployment than those who did not migrate. The rate at which they find jobs is linked to how long they have been unemployed and to other characteristics.
