In geography, the study of foreign aid has been neglected because it has been carried out in international relations theory and political science. Different theoretical approaches are examined and the way they have been applied to the study of foreign aid. The A. concludes by looking at the implications of this research for the study of third-world development in geography and how a political geography of foreign aid can be promoted.
