Description :
Relationships between the development of acid sulphate soil and landscape characteristics were examinated in a fluvial-dominated, estuarine-deltaic plain of the South China coast where polders have been constructed on a considerable scale for more than 1000 years. The results based on field investigation and laboratory analyses are presented in this paper.
