Concentrations and controls of soil carbon dioxide in sandy soil in the North Carolina Coastal Plain

Description :
The present study shows that environmental temperatures (such as soil temperature and minimum air temperature) are a dominant control over soil CO2 levels, and that in coarse-grained substrate rapid percolation may make considerable amounts of soil water available during the warm season and therefore identify summer as the season with the greatest rock weathering potential.
