Political geography : attempting to understand a changing world order
Auteur :O'LOUGHLIN, J.
Description :
In 1989, Francis Fukuyama achieved wide recognition for a paper titled the « End of history » in a conservative periodical, National Interest. Though his thesis was not particularly new, the title attracted attention and criticism from left and right. He proclaims the end of the postwar period, characterized by superpower confrontation and the triumph of western liberal democracy. Many other publications are studied in this article (on territorial and electoral research, localities etc...).
