Auteur :EVERITT, J.
Description :
The spatial and economic evolution of the flour milling industry in the Prairie Provinces of Canada is examined. A few major extra-regionally owned and controlled companies came to dominate the export industry, and also influence much of the development of the cultural landscapes of the region. A much larger number of locally owned mills were established that basically served their tributary areas.
