Social segregation in urban Scotland

Description :
Small area statistics from the 1981 census are used as the data base and the degree of segregation in 262 urban areas is measured using Morgan's index of residential differentiation. It is hypothesised that the degree of segregation in each settlement will be a function of the total number of households, occupational class heterogeneity, tenure mix and physical separation of tenures.
