L'A. remarque que la promotion d'un lieu apparaît comme un élément-clé de stratégie de développement local en Europe orientale. Il présente ici la promotion de Lodz en Pologne. Il souligne les problèmes auxquels la ville est confrontée, dont sa faible image de marque, et décrit les organisations et les stratégies promotionnelles. Il s'aperçoit que l'on cherche à changer l'image de Lodz sur le plan national comme international. Mais il faut choisir les activités promotionnelles à développer. - (M. Perrin).
