Description :
Commentaries about a nuclear landscape photograph of the early 1950s. Explosive images are produced to represent the institution of the Atomic Energy Commission's atmospheric nuclear weapons testing program in Nevada. The study approaches some of the connections between landscape-as-representation and landscape-as-morphology. The A. suggests how landscape representations can work through a particular visual ideology to obscure the morphologies which they appear to represent.
