Habitat islands : feral parrots in southern California

Description :
At least eight species of parrots, most of them native to South America, have naturalized in southern California suburbs where they feed mainly on fruits and seeds from introduced ornemental plants. Their colonization potential is still unclear, but some species could become serious pests on fruit crops. - (DWG)
