Spatial changes in the hydrology of portions of the Twin Cities, Minnesota : a simulation study

Auteur :
ANDERSON, K. L.

Description :
This paper explores the integration of simulation and GIS (geographic information system) technologies. Results are presented from the application of a water-yield model known as SIRWAT (Spatially Integrated Regional Watershed Analysis Tool) to portions of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. SIRWAT allows for study of hydrologic changes in intermediate-scale (100 to 10,000 km2) areas undergoing urban expansion.
