Biogeochemical and bioindication studies in the beech-pine forest catchment exposed to the moderate, but chronic industrial emissions in southern Poland are described. Balance of nutrients and pollutants are calculated, forest damage using plant indicators is estimated. All data show that the forest in the Ratanica catchment is deteriorated.
