The spatial differences in the distribution of income in Hungary is an area of research that could previously only be estimated indirectly. Using per capita income tax in 1988-1990, this research shows that the data is of limited value as it does not take into account factors such as agricultural taxation policies and the unemployment associated with certain, especially Gypsy, population. - (JS)
