The transition of the Czech industry and its energetic and ecological consequences

In the fifth year of transformation the country is paying for the primary inertia of the economic and industrial structure created in 1948-1989. The transition from the economic approach to environment to the environmental approach to economy will be complicated. However, the rate of transformation is fast especially in the areas with favourable market conditions. The system of changes is exemplified by foreign trade and tourism. - (MS)
