Fossil valleys of the Mostecká pánev (Basin)

Valley stretches abandoned by watercourses at Quaternary, represent district landforms of the fluvial erosion-accumulation relief in the northern part of the Bohemian Upland. Four abandoned valleys and numerous Ohře River meanders were discussed. The main hydrographic change in the region-diversion of the Ohře Rivber channel from Postoloprty to Bílina Rivcer to the current eastern direction - has induced new orientation of certain brooks and intense development of Ohře meanders in the Most basin. - (MS)
